A total of 16 people died of Covid-19 and 1,285 more people have tested positive for the deadly virus in the last 24 hour till Wednesday morning in the Chattogram.
According to government estimates, the total number of people dying of Corona infection in Chattogram has reached 1,010. The infection rate is 34.92 percent-said a report released by the Civil Surgeon's Office.
There are no general and ICU beds in hospitals. The picture is the same in almost all public and private hospitals in Chattogram, while the number of corona detection is increasing day by day.
16 people have died in Chattogram in the last 24 hours. Of these, 10 are in different upazilas and 6 in metropolitan areas. So far 1,010 people have died in Chattogram. Health officials said coronary heart disease can be controlled by vaccination and proper hygiene.
According to the Chittagong District Civil Surgeon office, 16 people have died in the district while 3,669 samples were tested in Chattogram and new coronavirus was detected in the bodies of 1,285 people.
The highest number of new victims was identified in Hathazari upazila, 80. Besides, coronavirus infection was found in 78 people in Raozan upazila, 51 people in Sitakunda upazila, 53 people in Rangunia upazila and 42 people in Boalkhali upazila.
Contacted, Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, Chittagong District Civil Surgeon told Bangladesh Post that the infection was spreading everywhere in the district. The situation is similar in 14 upazilas besides the metropolis. 1,285 people have been infected with coronavirus in Chattogram in the last 24 hours till Wednesday.
