Police Memorial Day has been observed in Bogra on Monday, in memory of the policemen killed on-duty. The late policemen were paid homage with wreaths placed at the temporary martyr's altar at Police Lines.
Later, gifts were distributed among the families of the late police personnel at the Police Lines School and College Auditorium. Family members of the deceased who hailed from Bogra district, but killed on duty in different parts of the country at different times, participated in the programme.
Superintendent of Police Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan BPM (Bar) presided over the meeting and expressed his gratitude by handing over gifts.
The programme was conducted by the Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Ali Haider Chowdhury. SP (CID) Bogura Kawser Shikder, SP (PBI) Akramul Hossain and others also spoke at the programme.
