A new branch of Community Bank Bangladesh Limited was inaugurated in the busiest Anderkilla area of Chattogram city.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) and Chairman of Community Bank Bangladesh Limited Dr Benazir Ahmed inaugurated the branch through a videoconference on Thursday.
The IGP also opened six more branches of the bank in Dhaka, Comilla, Narsingdi, Tangail, Khulna and Dinajpur at the same event. At the inauguration ceremony, Chattogram Metropolitan Police Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir and Chittagong Range DIG Anwar Hossain cut a cake.
CMP Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration and Finance) Amena Begum, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) SM Mostaq Ahmed Khan, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Shyamal Kumar Nath, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Md. Amir Zafar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) SM Mehedi Hasan and other senior officers of the CMP and the bank were present.
