Comilla University (CoU) and Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aiming at enhancing cooperation and research work. The signing ceremony was held on Thursday afternoon in a conference room of the BARD.
CoU Registrar Prof Dr Md Abu Taher and the Director General of the BARD Dr M Mizanur Rahman signed the agreement. It was attended, among others, by Vice-Chancellor of Comilla University Prof Dr Emran Kabir Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Dr GM Moniruzzaman, Dean ofthe Faculty of Engineering Dr Swazal Chandra Majumder, Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Professor Dr Biswajit Chandra Dev, the chief of staff of the Bird and others.
The notated subjects in that Memorandum are conducting collaborative research projects, seminars, conference and training programmes; Exchanging of academic information and materials in the fields of interest of both the institutions ; Holding joint proposals to the Government, National and International agencies, Universities for sponsored research projects; Conducting joint supervision for research, training and publications; Buying and selling state of the art technologies and necessary science materials if necessary for both the institutions; Supporting students for internship.
