A total of 190 students under the Comilla Education Board, who had earlier failed in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination, have passed after a re-evaluation of their answer scripts.
According to the board, results improved for 844 students following the re-checking process. Among them, 67 students achieved the highest grade, GPA-5 (A+). In addition, subject-wise grade changes were recorded for 91 students who had already secured GPA-5 in the original results.
Despite the changes, 57 students who had failed in the initial results remained unsuccessful even after the re-evaluation.
Md Kabir Uddin, Sub-Examination Controller (Secondary) of the Comilla Education Board, confirmed the updated figures after the publication of the revised results on Sunday.
Professor Runa Nasrin, Examination Controller of the board, said the original SSC results were published on July 10 across all education boards, including Comilla. Applications for re-evaluation opened the next day, July 11, and continued until July 17. The revised results were prepared after a detailed review of the answer scripts.
This year, a total of 167,572 students sat for the SSC examination under the Comilla Education Board. Education officials said the re-evaluation process gives students a fair chance to correct possible marking errors and ensures transparency in the examination system.
They also advised students to remain confident in the evaluation process and to apply for re-checking if they genuinely feel their marks do not reflect their performance.
