Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Sunday night arrested three alleged killers in connection with brutally killing a student of Government Kabi Nazrul College.
The arrested were identified as Md Khalid Hasan, Md Arif Hossain and Md Mehedi Hasan Miraj.
The elite force also recovered the knife, which was used for killing the student.
Talking to the Bangladesh Post on Monday, RAB-3 Commanding Officer Lt Col Arif Mohiuddin confirmed it.
The arrested criminals have already admitted their involvements in the murder of Piyash Iqbal Noor, he added.
He said getting secret information, a team of RAB nabbed the suspected killer from different parts of the country including city’s outkirst Manikganj.
Piayash was hacked to death and another injured in Mugda area of the capital on Thursday night following a dispute over the sale of cellphone. His friend Shamim was also injured.
Piyash went out with some friends and associates around 10:00pm on Thursday. The incident took place on Little Angel Street in North Mugda due to a dispute over the sale of cell phone.
