A college student on Wednesday reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a mango tree at Bagha upazila in Rajshahi. The deceased was identified as Tanvir Ahmed, 22, a student of Shah Doula Government Degree College and son of Jafor Iqbal of Kaligram village under the upazila.
Tanvir used to lock into an altercation with his family members as he was a drug-addicted. On Wednesday morning, a neighbour found him hanging from the tree, said the police officials. On information, police recovered the body and sent it Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Police already got the autopsy reports, said Nazrul Islam, an Officer-in-Charge of Bagha police station.
