In the northernmost district of Panchagarh, Tentulia upazila, the lowest temperature of the country has been disturbed by the people working hard. Temperatures in the upazila are fluctuating due to the cold Himalayan winds and dense fog blowing from the north.

The intensity of winter is increasing. People are shivering in winter. The poor, helpless and hard-working people of the upazila are suffering in the winter.

However, according to the Meteorological Department, the extension of the sub-continental high pressure zone extends to West Bengal and the western part of adjoining Bangladesh. The normal light pressure of the season is located in the South Bay.

The weather across the country may remain dry.

There is also moderate to heavy fog in the northwestern part of the country from midnight to morning and mild to moderate cold spells elsewhere in the country.

A mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and may continue. Night and day temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged.

It is learned that cold wave started blowing over the upazila from Saturday afternoon. With dense fog covered which lasts until the next morning.

However, as the day progresses, the fog clears and the sun is seen, but there is no heat. Cold wave is always blowing over this upazila. The poor, helpless and cold-stricken people of the district have suffered the most in the winter. They are not able to do much work in winter in Kankan.

Although they are out looking for work, many are returning home without finding work. Although winter clothes are distributed every year, it is not the fate of many.

Russell Shah, officer-in-charge of the Tentulia Meteorological Observatory, said the lowest temperature recorded in the upazila was 6.0 degrees Celsius at 9am on Saturday.

Which is the lowest temperature in the whole country. However, the temperature may drop further.
