Blankets were distributed among the cold-stricken destitute people in Peroli union under Kalia upazila of Narail at the initiative of Kadamtala Jubo Foundation on Thursday.
In this regard a distribution ceremony was held at Kadamtala Government Primary School premises at 4:00 pm. Maulana Md. Anisur Rahman presided over the distribution programme held on the founding anniversary of the Jubo Foundation.
Local UP member Md. Kased Mollah, Md. Rizmaul Biswas, Kharoria Madrasa teacher Mufti Md. Abuzar, Alhaj Md. Moktel Sheikh, Founder of the organization Engineer Md. Imdadul Islam and others were present on the occasion.
The organisation distributed 36 blankets among the destitute, poor and helpless cold stricken people in the area.
Recipients elderly Syed Sheikh and Asma Begum said with a smile, “We couldn’t sleep on a cold winter night due to lack of winter clothes. We could not afford to buy winter clothes. Today we feel grateful and delighted to get the blankets”.
Engineer Md. Imdadul Islam and Rizmaul Biswas said, “We are distributing winter clothes according to the capacity of the organization so that no destitute person suffers from winter”. It is to be mentioned that Kadamtala Jubo Foundation made its debut for the service of humanity in 2019. There are 47 members currently working with the foundation.
