Coast Guard recovers 90,000 Yaba tablets in Sangu


Bangladesh Coast Guard Station Sangu conducting an operation in Gahira (Ghatkul Ghat) area under Anwara police station in Chattogram recovered 90,000 pieces of yaba tablets on Saturday night.

The raid was carried out at the house of a man named Shukkur in the area on the basis of secret information.  At that time, the yaba traders sensing the presence of Coast Guard members fled inside the parabon on the south side of Ghatkul Ghat. So, it was not possible to arrest anyone.  The recovered yaba tablets have been handed over to Anwara police station for further legal action.

Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue to conduct regular operations in the areas covered by BCG to ensure law and order, public safety as well as to prevent piracy, robbery and drug trade.
