CMP stands by police members affected by road accidents

Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has taken the initiative to assist police members affected by road accidents in the metropolitan area.

This financial assistance checks were distributed among the affected individuals with support from the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Trustee Board and initiative of CMP.

This assistance was provided at a program organized at the Dampara Police Lines Conference Room in the city on Tuesday. CMP Commissioner Hasib Aziz presided over the program.

It was informed at the program that a total of 18 people, including 17 police members and 1 civilian driver, who were injured and affected by road accidents while performing their official duties until October 31, 2025, received checks worth Tk 24 lakhs.

While distributing the checks, the CMP Commissioner said that such assistance is highly commendable for police members who face risks while performing their duties. He also mentioned that it will boost their morale. At the same time, he thanked the BRTA concerned for their cooperation in this initiative. 

CMP Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) Muhammad Faisal Ahmed, Additional Deputy Police Commissioners Md. Ferdous Ali Chowdhury, Hossain Mohammad Kabir Bhuiyan and Nesar Uddin Ahmed were present at the event.

In addition, senior CMP officials and supported members, including Divisional Director of BRTA Chattogram Office Masud Alam, participated in the event.
