CMP’s Traffic Week begins in Ctg

Police Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir inaugurated the 'Traffic Service Week 2022' programme organised by the Traffic Department of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) with the slogan 'Obey Traffic Law, Ensure Safe Roads'.

The event was inaugurated at the GEC Convention Center at GEC Junction in the city on Tuesday.

CMP Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir said the Chittagong Metropolitan Police have started verifying the owners and drivers of CNG-powered auto-rickshaws in the city by filling up specific forms.  

About 12.5 thousand vehicle registrations have been completed so far.  All registrations will be completed in phases.  All the information of owners and drivers of vehicles will be stored in the police server. They will be given a separate QR code and ID card.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Shyamal Kumar Nath, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) Md Shamsul Alam and senior police officials, transport owners and leaders of labor organisations were present on the occasion.
