Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Md Mahabubur Rahman inaugurated the new office of CMP’s Traffic-North Division on Tuesday. After the inauguration, he inspected all the activities of the new office.
Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration and Finance) Amena Begum, AC (Crime and Operations) Mostaq Ahmed Khan, AC (Traffic) Shyamal Kumar Nath and DC (Headquarters) Mohammad Amir Zafar were present on the occasion, among others.
It may be mentioned that in the past, the traffic activities of CMP were conducted by the CMP Traffic Division, Traffic-North and Traffic-Port. But now with the increase in the population and vehicles of the metropolis, the two sections of Traffic-South and Traffic-West have been added to the traffic section to facilitate smooth traffic activities and alleviate the suffering of the people.
The traffic-north activities between the two new departments were launched separately from Tuesday.
