CMP installs 269 CCTV cameras at 81 points

Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Hasib Aziz BPM said that the use of modern technology is essential to maintain law and order, prevent crime and ensure citizen security in the city. Through this monitoring system, important areas of the city will come under round-the-clock surveillance, which will be helpful in crime suppression and speedy investigation.

He said these things at the formal inauguration of the CCTV monitoring program at the CMP Control Room in Dampara on Sunday at the initiative of the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP). 

 CMP Commissioner said that 269 cameras have been installed at a total of 81 points in 9 police stations in Chattogram for the CCTV program. Through central monitoring, it will be easier to take quick action in any unwanted situation. After the inauguration, instructions were given to the concerned officials to conduct the activities smoothly.

 CMP Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic) Wahidul Haque Chowdhury, Deputy Police Commissioner (Main) Md. Ferdous Ali Chowdhury and other senior officials were present at the event.
