Closing ceremony of BUP photography exhibition held

The closing ceremony of Contrast 3.0, a photography exhibition organised by Bangladesh University of Professionals Photography Society (BUPPS) was held at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Sunday, says a press release.

The event was inaugurated by Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor M Abul Kashem Mozumder on Friday. The overall supervision of this successful event was done by the department of Mass Communication & Journalism, Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies of BUP. 

State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid was the Chief Guest of the closing ceremony. Brigadier General Saif-Ur-Rahman was the special guest of the closing ceremony. The participants from different universities around the country participated in every Contrast presented by BUPPS. 

 This year Contrast has involved the participants around the country. Near about 106 photographs of the emerging photographers of different public and private universities and colleges were displayed in the Contrast. There was a corner to remember our Liberation War 1971 with the help of Liberation War Museum and a corner for the emerging photographer Farjana Akhtar with her photo story "Umbilical Cord". There were also three photography related workshop conducted by the three esteemed photographers who also did the judgement of the submitted photographs: Hasan S Chandan, M Rakibul Hasan, Syed Latif Hossain. In Club Category, North South University’s Art and Photography Club (NSUAPC) was the champion and Shahjalal University’s Photography Association (SUPA) was the runner-up of this event. 

Corpolog as the logistics partner, Radio Today FM 89.6 as the radio partner, Bangla Tribune as the online media partner, Jamuna TV as the media partner and HiFi Public as the youth engagement partner were in this event. All senior officials of BUP, invited guests, teachers, students and different media activists were present at the closing ceremony.
