Paribesh Andolon Oikkya Parishad, Rajshahi, started a cleanliness drive at the vehicles dumping centre of police at Boalia police station in Rajshahi on Sunday noon.
The cleanliness drive was attended, among others, by Mahfuzur Rahman Razj, convener of Swadhinota Charcha Kendro, Farzina Nasrin, Assistant Commissioner of Police, RMP, Nibran Chandra Barman, Officer in charge of Boalia thana, Rafiqul Islam Sentu, Convener of Porichhonno Rajshahi, Nazmul Hossain Raju, Member Secretary of Rajshahibashi, Raihan Halim, Bipul Rahman and Dulal.
Abdul Hamid Sarker Tekon, Councillor of Ward No. 22 of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) assisted the cleanliness drive by employing cleaners of RCC for the programme.
Saidur Rahman and Aslam Uddowla, President and General Secretary of Rajshahi Press Club expressed their solidarity with the cleanliness drive of vehicle dumping centre of Boalia thana which is known as one of the largest breeding grounds of Aedes mosquito which is responsible for spreading of Dengue fever which has already spread as epidemic in the country.
