Former rail minister, freedom fighter Mujibul Haque and an Awami League (AL) candidate for Cumilla-11 seat said that people of Chauddagram are united today to elect an MP by casting their votes for Boat.
The former rail minister has expressed his satisfaction for the spontaneous support of the people in his constituency after 10 days of his election campaign.
He said that people are happy like Eid Day. They mass people are waiting to cast their votes for Boat. The whole Chaddagram is united in favour of boat.
“The people’s leader Sheikh Hasina had given me nomination for seven times earlier but I came out successful four times. People of of Chauddagram love so they elected,” he said.
Mujibul also told that he had contested against the prominent, renowned and heavyweight candidates like late Kazi Jafar Ahmed and Mr Taher. Those who are speaking ill of him, they should wait for the verdict of the learned people of Cumilla.
Mr Haque was speaking at a projection meeting of Awami League as the chief guest at Miabazar Latifunnesa High School ground in Uzirpur Union on Thursday.
Mia Mohammad Nasir Uddin, president, Uzipur Union Awami League presided over the meeting. Among others, GM Mir Hossain Miru, Poura Mayor and senior Vice-President of Upazila AL, Principal Rahamatullah Bablu, General Sectary, Chauddagram Upazila , AL, ABMA Bahar, acting Chairman, Upazila Parishad, Abul Kasem, former District and Sessions Judge, Abu Taher, member of Central Advisory committee of Swechchhasebak League, M Tomij Uddin Salim, member of a sub-committee of Central Awami League , Abdul Barik and Ishak Khan, Vice- Presidents, Upazila AL, journalist Mahmudur Rahman Khokon and many others, addressed the meeting.
