To ensure the smooth and peaceful celebration of the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja, a law and order coordination meeting was held on Thursday at the Police Lines Drill Shed in Chuadanga. The meeting was chaired by Superintendent of Police Khandaker Golam Mowla, BPM (Service).

Senior members of both district and upazila-level Puja Celebration Committees, along with representatives of the Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Council, attended the discussion. Additional Police Superintendents Jamal Al Naser (Crime & Ops) and Md Mostafizur Rahman (Sadar Circle), as well as officers-in-charge from various police stations and intelligence wings, were also present.

Superintendent Mowla assured the community that Chuadanga District Police is fully prepared to maintain communal harmony and ensure the safety of worshippers throughout the Puja celebrations. Each Puja mandap (pavilion) will have a dedicated presence of police, Ansar members, and volunteer security.

In addition, a Cyber Crime Investigation Cell (CCIC) team will monitor online activity and social media to prevent the spread of rumours or incitement. Directives were also given to install CCTV cameras and ensure sufficient lighting at each mandap under the committee’s arrangements.

Police reaffirmed their commitment to upholding a safe, festive, and inclusive environment during the Durga Puja period.
