Chuadanga markets sees huge sales ahead of Eid

At the last moment, Eid markets have seen huge influx of people in Chuadanga. And a few days later, the religious festival of Muslims is the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. Eid means festival of joy. After a long month of fasting, this Eid is surrounded by special joyous festivals.

New clothes and shoes for young people, teenagers and children to decorate themselves colorfully, women's lipstick make-up box and various kinds of accessories. Buyers are busy in the Eid market to buy their favorite clothes on Eid.

The shopkeepers have filled various types of collections in various market stalls of Jibannagar town including Krishi Market, Molla Market and Upazila Market. As the prices of all things are high this year, middle and low income people are struggling to meet their children's needs. Indian naira, sarara-garar, net and silk three-pieces are preferred by girls and children this Eid.

Arifa, Miftahul Jannat, who came to buy three-pieces in the market said that this Eid Naira, net three-pieces and Sarara-garara are attractive but the price is very high. Besides, the price of many cosmetics including foundation make-up box, lipstick is also very high.

Punjabi buyers Rafiq Hossain and Swapan Hossain said, this time they bought cotton Punjabi for 1 thousand 200 taka. Indian Tosar Punjabi is selling from 1500 to 2000 Tk.

Shahidul Islam, the owner of businessman Molla Garments, said that this Eid sales have started well. The price of the goods is a little high but the sales are good.

Ruhul Amin, the owner of Akand Cosmetics, said that although the price of all things including makeup boxes, lipsticks is high, the sales are getting better. However, in the last minute, the overflowing crowd of women and young women is being noticed in the Eid market.

Ariful Islam, the owner of Rahman Garments, said that after Coronavirus pandemic, this is the first time they are seeing a little bit of profit. And sales have increased a lot. On the occasion of Eid, he bought many clothes in the store. Buyers are coming, selling is also increasing rapidly. He hopes that the sales will increase in the remaining days. Jibannagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nasir Uddin Mridha said that the police patrol has been increased in the city on the occasion of Eid. Police have been deployed especially in markets and bazaars. Hopefully, buyers and sellers can make their purchases safely.

Jibannagar Municipal Mayor Rafiqul Islam said that after only a few days, the biggest religious event of Muslims is the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. Eid sales have started in the market around this Eid. So that people can market well, for this reason, we have deployed Ansar at different places in the city.

Jibannagar upazila executive officer Rokunuzzaman said that no shopkeeper can put a price tag separately. In no way can extra prices be charged ahead of Eid. Action will be taken against those doing so. Legal action will be taken by conducting our regular mobile court.
