Members of Chuadanga Press Club arranged human chain in front of the club in the district town on Sunday to protest killing of journalist Golam Rabbani Nadim, who was killed by some supporters of Sadarpara union parishad chairman under Bokshigonj upazila of Jamalpur district.
The human chain program started at 12.30 pm and continued to 1:30 pm. The programs were presided over by President of the club Sardar Al Amin, It was addressed by Editor of Daily Pashchimanchal Azad Malita, President of Chuadanga Sangabadik Samity Nazmul Hoque Swapon, General Secretary of Sangbadik Samity Bipul Ashraf, members of Chuadanga Press Club MM Alauddin, Shah Alam Sony, Adv. Rafiqul Islam, MA Mamun and Hossain Malik.
The protesters demanded punishment of those involved in the killing of journalist Nadim.
Speakers added, criminals have no party. Their identity is only criminals. So these criminals would be taken under judicial trail for punishment. It may be mentioned here, the journalist was attacked on June 14 and died in Mymenshing Medical College Hospital on June 15 during the treatment. General Secretary of the club Rajib Hasan Kochi conducted all programs on the day.
