Chuadanga Free Day observed

Chuadanga Free Day was observed under the auspices of District Awami League, Muktizoddyha Sangsad, Chuadanga District Administration, socio-cultural organisations and common people on December 7 with great joy. Chuadanga was freed from clutches of Pakistani Army on the day in 1971.

Chuadanga District Awami League with common people and Muktizoddha Sangsad separately placed wreaths at momentum of martyred freedom fighters in the town. A discussion meeting was held at Aat Kabar at Damurhuda upazila of the district on the occasion.

Chuadanga District Administration arranged a discussion meeting and rally with freedom fighters and officials of Chuadanga to mark the day. The rally was paraded the main roads of the town with slogan-Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu.

A discussion meeting was held at deputy commissioner conference room on the day. Muktizoddha of Chuadanga participated at the meeting. At the beginning of the meeting all freedom fighters those who participated at the meeting chanted slogan- 'Joy Bangla,  Joy Bangabandhu. The meeting was addressed by Najrul Islam Sarker, DC, Munsi Almgir Hannan, organising secretary of district Awami league, Saidur Rahman, Bir Protik, freedom fighters Ali Azgar Fatik, Abdul Mabud Joarder, Shahid Hossain Khan, Golam Sarwar, Mostafa Khan and Abul Hashem.

Deputy Commissioner Najrul Islam Sarker placed wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu and Bango Mata Begum Fazilatunnesa.

National flag was hoisted on government offices and private buildings on the day.
