Chuadanga District Administration assured a four-year-old heart patient of all kinds of support. It also gave her financial help and food items on Sunday.
Sinthia Akhtar Anika, 4, has been suffering from heart disease from her birth. Doctors advised her for open heart surgery immediately.
Chuadanga Deputy Commissioner Dr Kissinger Chakma urged all kind-hearted people to come forward and help the girl.
The Deputy Commissioner came to know the matter through media and social media. He along with other officials of district administration rushed to the house of the heart patient and handed over a cheque of Tk 30,000 and food items to the family members of Sinthia.
UNO of Sadar Upazila Fatema Tuz Zohra, NDC of Deputy Commissioner Office Saiful Islam and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Sajjad Hossen were also present there.
Sinthia, daughter of Md Alamin Hossain, resident of Alukdia village in Sadar Upazila of Chuadanga. The kid’s heart problem was detected after her birth. Recently, the doctor said a heart surgery is needed for the child as soon as possible which is very expensive.
Dr Chakma requested Sinthia's father to take immediate step as per the doctor's advice. At the same time, he also urged the kind people of the country for humanitarian assistance to Sinthia.
According to family source, she is under treatment of Dr. AK Shamsuddin, physician of National Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute, Dhaka. The doctor advised her to admit into the hospital on September 16, 2024 and accordingly her open heart surgery will be done.
