The 74th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was observed on Tuesday by the Chuadanga district unit Chhatra League following hoisting of the national and party flags, placing wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
A colourful rally was brought out in the district. Moreover a discussion was also held on the occasion.
The flags were hoisted before sunrise in front of district Awami League office. After that the leaders of Chhatra League along with MP of Chuadanga-1constituency Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun placed wreaths on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
A rally was brought out in the district town to observe the day. The rally was paraded the main roads of the town. The participants carried banners and festoons chanting slogan in favour of the party and nation.
A discussion was held in the town. The discussion was presided over by President of district Chhatra League Mohaiman Hasan Joarder Anik while MP of Chuadanga-1 constituency Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun was present as chief guest. The discussion was addressed by Chhatra League leaders Pranto Joarder, Raju Ahmed, Tanvir Ahmed Sohel and Shahabul Hossain. Former leaders of Chhatra League- Arifuzzaman Ronju, Abdul Kader, Sirajul Islam, and Rasheduzzaman were also present at the event.
A large cake was cut and distributed among the activists and leaders of the student wing of Awami League to mark the day.
