China varsity team meets CU VC

A five-member delegation from China Center for South Asian Studies/School of International Studies Sichuan University visited CU International Relations Department on Thursday. 

Later, the delegation led by CU International Relations Department President Prof. Dr. Sujit Kumar Dutta paid a courtesy meet on Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Shireen Akhtar in her office.  CU Pro VC (Academic) Professor Benu Kumar Dey, CU International Relations Associate Professor Helal Uddin Ahmed and Lecturer Aditi Chakraborty were present on the occasion.  

The members of the delegation are- China Center for South Asian Studies, School of International Studies Sichuan University Gi Chief Expert Professor QiuYonghui, Vice-Dean Professor Song Zhihui, Associate Professor Xiao Jianmei, Associate Professor Dr Mohammad Maruf Hasan and University PhD student Zeng Hao.

Briefing the delegation about the academic activities of Chittagong University, the CU VC said that Chittagong University is the highest educational institution in the south-eastern region of the country, a uniquely fertile field of knowledge and research.

She discussed with Chittagong University about educational and research programs and exchange of resource persons of different universities of the world.

The delegation was impressed by the beautiful campus of Chittagong University full of natural beauty and happy to see the orderly and peaceful environment of education prevailing in Chittagong University.  

The members of the delegation expressed their interest in a Memorandum of Understanding with China's School of International Studies Sichuan University on the education and research program and exchange of resource persons of the Department of International Relations, Chittagong University.  The members of the delegation agreed with the CU Vice-Chancellor to decide the next course of action in this regard.
