A Bangladeshi student — who is one of the China returnee students and was kept at the coronavirus unit of the isolation ward of Rangpur Medical College Hospital — was referred to Dhaka on Monday. A medical board led by Debendranath Sarkar, head of the Medicine Department, took the decision at around 1200pm. He was on the way to the isolation unit of the Kurmitola General Hospital while filing this report. The patient was identified as Al Amin, a student of Yangzhou University; he returned home on Sunday night. He was admitted to the isolation ward at about 1155pm as he fall sick, said Humayun Kabir, a caretaker of the ward.

Earlier on Saturday, another Yangzhou University returnee Tashidid Hossain was admitted to the RMCH isolation ward with breathing problem. His blood sample was sent to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research, said Debendranath Sarkar. He said, “Tashidid has no problem right now. But we will have to wait until the IEDCR reports.”
