A suspect child-trafficker was killed in a mob beating at Al-Amin Nagar area of Shidhirganj police station around 8:00 am on Saturday.
The identity of deceased could not be known immediately. He is about 25 years, said inspector Shahidul Islam.
Locals claimed that an unknown young man took a 6 years old girl who is student of Ideal Islamic School. Then the minor girl began screaming as unknown man tried to take her.
At that time, the local people attacked the young man.
On information, police rushed to the spot and rescued him. He sent to hospital where on duty physicians declared him dead.
Another same incident occurred at Painadi area of Shiddhirganj police station at about 11:00 am.
A woman tried to take away a minor girl from Painadi area and hearing cry of baby locals caught the woman and beat up her.
Inspector Shahidul Islam said that the woman was identified as Sharmin, 20, wife of Salman Mia of Keraiganj in Dhaka. Now she is undergoing treatment.
He added that the both incident were occurred base on rumor.
