After receiving treatment for 21-day, child Rahat Farazi, 9, returned home by being cured from Corona virus infection. Rahat was issued a release certificate from Uzirpur Upazila Health Complex on Monday noon and her returned his Rakudia village home under Babuganj Upazila of Barishal district with his father the same day.
Dr. Shaokat Hossain, Health Officer of Uzirpur Health Complex informed, Rahat Farazi, son of Shimul Farazi was admitted to the Health Complex with fever, cough, cold and breathing problem on April-13.
he was admitted to the isolation ward of the hospital and tests of samples from his body was found positive. He was given treatment at the hospital with his father Shimul Farazi and grand ma Rizia Begum as attendants.
Dr. Shaokat further mentioned, Rahat was administered Paracetamol, Anti0histamin, Vitamin-C and Azithromycine drugs for his treatment of Coronavirus. In addition, he was given to inhale vapour of warm water mixed with ginger and salt and to gurgle the same several times a day.
His condition developed gradually and after collecting samples from his body again it was sent for testing on April-24, the Negative result was received on 26 April.
To be sure, samples from his body was collected once again on May-2 and tested and again the result was found negative on May 3 report. He was released from the hospital on Monday noon.
He further said, father and grandma of Rahat who also stayed at the hospital were also tested but the result of their tests was also negative.
Samples from the bodies of the physicians and staff of the hospital who treated Rahat , were also collected and tested and the test results were also found negative. Shimul Farazi thanked the doctors and nurses who treated his son and prayed for the well being of them.
Meanwhile, Upoazila parishad Chairman Abdul Majid Shikder bacchu, UNO Pronoti Biswas, Municipal Mayor Giazuddin Bepari, Officer in charge of Uzirpur Police station Ziaul Ahsan, Upazila Relief and Rehabiltation Officer Ayon Saha, Social Welfare Officer Abul Kalam were present at the hospital during releasing the child from there.
