A three-year-old boy named Tamim has died after drowning in Mirzaganj Upazila of Patuakhali district.
The incident took place in Mirzaganj village of the Upazila around 8 am on Thursday. Child Tamim is the Son of Zafar Mallik, a tractor driver of the area.
According to local sources, Tamim's father is a power tiller driver. On Thursday morning, when he left for the field to plow, Tamim also followed him. At that time, he drowned in a pond near the house.
After much searching, he was seen floating. He was later rescued and taken to the Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
