The body of a child named Fahmida (4) has been recovered from a pond in Purbalohali village of Bogura's Dupchanchia upazila.
It is learned that Fahmida, daughter of Ferdous Pramanik of Purbalohali village went out to play on last Friday afternoon.
After searching for her in different places, she was not found. On Saturday morning, locals recovered the child's floating body in a pond near the house.
According to the family, she died due to carelessness while playing under a tree on the bank of the pond. Police Officer-in-Charge Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter and said that her parents had given permission for burial as there was no complaint in this regard.
