The traffic police in Jhenaidah have set up check posts at different spots to avoid mass gatherings as a part of their prevention activities against the coronavirus in the district.
Jhenaidah police office sources said they set up check post at Pairachattar, Hamdah, Arrappur and three other points in Jhenaidah town on Wednesday. They had been barring people not to ride more than one person on motorbikes, avoid unnecessary movement outside the house.
The police men were also advising the people, especially the private car owners and drivers to avoid mass gathering and maintai0an health awareness advise prescribed by the government authority.
Superintendent of police in Jhenaidah Mohammad Hasanauzzaman said the awareness and check post activities would continue until and unless the situation is brought under control throughout the country.
