With the change of era, more than fifty cattle traders of Mathurapur in Chatmohar, Pabna are getting success by changing their business strategy. In addition to Chatmohar's Amritkunda and Natun Bazar cattle markets, traders in the vicinity of Bhangura, Arankola in Ishwardi and Naogaon cattle markets in Sirajganj are buying and selling cattle from the Mathurapur Union Parishad in Chatmohar.

In the last ten years, several cattle farms have been set up in Mathurapur. Cattle traders from different parts of the country are coming to this village and renting houses or running cattle business on commission basis.

The internet user brokers are helping the traders to sell the cows by fixing the price of the cows, taking pictures and videos of the cows and spreading them on various social media including YouTube. As a result, both the internet users and the cattle traders are benefiting from this cycle.

Besides, transport owners, drivers, helpers, employees of traders, herdsmen, local shopkeepers, farm owners and cattle traders are benefiting from this.

When you go to Mathurapur village, you will see barn houses on both sides of the paved road.

Buyers from nearby areas are coming to buy cows and are bargaining for the price of cows. Someone is busy taking pictures

of cows.

Habibur Rahman, a farm owner from Mathurapur village, said cattle traders from different parts of the country including Pabna, Rajshahi, Natore and Lalmonir Hat come to the village and trade on commission basis or farm rent.

They buy cows and goats from different villages and areas and keep them on the farm. If we sell one cow, we get a commission of one thousand rupees, as well as half of the milk.

Yusuf Ali, a local cattle trader, said he used to drive a rickshaw van. First I bought three cows and started a business. Now I have 14 cows on my farm. Rashedul Islam said that the name of Mathurapur village has now spread all over the country in the field of cattle trade.

My father used to sell nuts, I used to sell tea leaves. I started the cattle business about fifteen years ago.

Now I have ten to fifteen cows on my farm all the time. In addition to the farm, I have bought two bighas of land and built a semi-finished house.

I am much better now financially than before with my family of five including parents and children.
