38 patients suffering from cancer, kidney, liver cirrhosis, paralyzed, congenital heart disease and thalassemia in different areas of Chatmohar in Pabna have been distributed government grant checks of 50 thousand Tk totaling 19 lakh Tk. Maqbul Hossain, Member of Parliament of Pabna-3 Constituency, was the chief guest of the distribution ceremony and distributed the donation check at the Upazila Parishad auditorium organized by the Upazila social services office at 11 am on Wednesday.
Chatmohar Upazila Awami League President brave Freedom Fighter SM Nazrul Islam, Upazila Vice Chairman Ishaq Ali Manik, Women Vice Chairman Feroza Parveen, Chatmohar Thana Officer-in-Charge Jalal Uddin and others were present in the check distribution ceremony under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mumtaz Mahal.
Upazila Social Services Officer Rezaul Karim said that the patients who received government grant checks implemented by the Department of Social Services under the financial medical assistance programme for patients will benefit.
