The National Sports Council (NSC) announced the ad hoc committees of nine federations last week. The name of Joint Secretary Gazi Mozammel Haque was in the new committee of the Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF). With his reappointing in the committee, discussions and criticism started in the sports arena for last few days.
The NSC made changes to the committee of the Kabaddi Federation after 48 hours when Gazi Mozammel Haque has been replaced by Israel Howlader as Joint Secretary. He is also an officer of the Bangladesh Police. The newly appointed Israel is the Additional Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

He was criticized in the police field for financial irregularities. Even then, the National Sports Council (NSC) faced criticism because of his inclusion his name again in the committee at his previous post.
In addition to the Joint Secretary of the BKF, there is criticism over the nomination of the General Secretary also. SM Newaz Sohag, who was the joint secretary of the previous committee, has also become the general secretary of the ad-hoc committee. He is not an organizer and has no contribution in sports arena. But only a little bit known after working with the Cricket Board on marketing and sponsorship.
Shohag became the joint secretary of the BKF with the favor of former DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman. The businessman and a man of event manage was also became a member of the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) through Habibur Rahman. The NSC though revised the post of joint secretary, but has retained Newaz Sohag as the general secretary.
