Bashundhara Kings struggled much to win their first match in the TVS Bangladesh Premier League Football when they just survived with a solitary goal win against Uttar Baridhara Club on Monday.
Held at the Birsreshtha Flight Lt Maitur Rahman Stadium, Munshignaj, in the day’s lone match the reigning champions tasted the win after their embarrassing 1-2 goal defeat in the first match against the newcomer sin the league Swadhinota Kria Sangha.
Despite won the match, the favourites Bashundhara not looked in their aggressive mood when Robson Robinho and compatriot along with the local boys yet to return to their forms, as the holders had to face huge challenges very often from the Baridhara, who just escaped from the relegation last season.
Baridhara Club, who finished last season on 11th among 13 teams, forced Kings to finish the match on 1-0, as the winners despite took the lead the through Vranias.
Vranias, forward from Bosnia Herzegovina made a cool finish a combined assistance from Ibrahim and Sabuz on 27th minute.
Though Bashundhara Kings could have big margin win but Robson Robinho, Ibrahim and another good attempt from Vranias did not found the net.
