CFMoto India launch delayed

Chinese motorcycle brand CFMoto’s plans of launching four new motorcycles in India have been delayed due to heavy rains in Mumbai. The motorcycles which were supposed to be launched on July 4 will now make their debut in a couple of weeks from now. CFMoto could also shift the launch venue from Mumbai to either Bengaluru or Hyderabad.

CFMoto, which offers 650cc models in international markets, is set to introduce the 300NK in India. The entry-level motorcycle shares its underpinnings with its lower powered sibling, the 250NK. The latter is unlikely to make it to India anytime soon. The 300NK features premium components like a USD front fork and a rear monoshock. It is powered by a 292.4cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that pumps out 34PS of power and 20.5Nm of torque.

The company also intends to launch its 650cc motorcycles, including the 650MT, 650GT and the 650NK. While all three are powered by the same 649.3cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, they come in different states of tune. Where the fully-faired 650MT makes 70PS, the 650GT and 650NK belts out 63PS and 61PS, respectively. To know more about the 650cc lineup, head here.

The Chinese manufacturer has teamed up with AMW Motorcycles for its India operations. The company has already set up a manufacturing plant in Bengaluru with a claimed annual production capacity of 10,000 units. CFMoto is currently working on expanding its dealership network across the country. As of now, it has two dealerships in Hyderabad and Bengaluru and plans to set up more in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai soon.
