A Central Oxygen Supply Plant was inaugurated at the 250-bed Chandpur General Hospital on Saturday. Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni inaugurated it from Dhaka through video conference with Zoom app.
Her elder brother Dr. JR Wadud Tipu was present as the representative of the Education Minister in Chandpur. Distinguished dignitaries including Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, Superintendent of Chandpur General Hospital, Civil Surgeon, Director of the hospital, RMO, BMA leaders took part in the inauguration in Chandpur.
The oxygen plant was funded by the Memorial Trust established in the name of MA Wadud, father of Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni M P.
Spectra International Limited completed the work of this oxygen plant. The oxygen plant will currently be connected to 25 beds in the isolation ward and 5 beds of 2 cabins reserved for Corona patients. This will provide oxygen to the patients as per their requirement.
