CDA observes National Mourning Day

 Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) organized a discussion meeting under the chairmanship of CDA Chairman M Zahirul Alam Dubash in the presence of officials and employees at CDA building on Monday on the occasion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's 47th martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day. CDA engineer Md. Mustafa Jamal moderated the meeting.

  State Minister of Housing and Public Works Ministry Sharif Ahmed, Secretary Md. Shahid Ulla Khandaker spoke together in the discussion meeting.  

The minister said, Bangabandhu means Bangladesh, Bangladesh means Bangabandhu. Request to read the book 'Mujib Banglar Bangla Mujiber' written by the Prime Minister on the biography of Bangabandhu, stating that there is a lot to know about Bangabandhu's life and struggle.

  CDA board member Jinat Sohana Chowdhury said that the month of August is the month of mourning for the Bengali nation.  Will we forget the history, are we such children, that father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

  He said that the enemies did not hesitate to kill on August 15. The father of the nation's daughter attempted to assassinate the current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on August 21, 2004

CDA board member Md. Jasim Uddin Shah discussed about the movement, prison life etc. that happened in the life of Bangabandhu.

 Honorary Consul General of Russia and CDA Board Member Architect Ashiq Imran mentioned in the memorial that he saw Bangabandhu directly on June 14, 1975 during the inauguration of Betbunya Geo-satellite Center and mentioned the undying love of people for him at that time.

  Besides, Board Member Engineer Munir Uddin, CDA Chief Engineer Kazi Hasan Bin Shams, Chief City Planner Mohammad Manjur Hasan, Deputy Chief City Planner Md. Abu Isa Ansari, CDA employee Md. Rashed Ahmed Jabed gave commemorative speeches about the life and struggle of Bangabandhu.

  CDA Chairman M Zahirul Alam Dubash said, Bangabandhu and Bangladesh are an inseparable part.  The CDA Chairman mentioned that Bangabandhu led the country towards independence through his tireless efforts at various times including the 1952 language movement, the election of the United Front in 1994, the 62 education movement, the 66 six-point movement, the 69 mass uprising, the 70 election and the 71 liberation war.  He opined that if Bangabandhu had not been killed, the country would have progressed far today.

 He said that in 1996, his daughter Hon'ble Prime Minister Jannetri Sheikh Hasina assumed the power of the state and proceeded with the trial process of Bangabandhu's murder.  Bangabandhu was killed through a conspiracy.  This conspiracy was made to push back the country through conspiracies.  

Currently, Bangladesh is progressing far under the efficient management of Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister.  

As a result of his efficient leadership, great development is being achieved in the country.

 Finally, the CDA chairman concluded his speech and declared the end of the meeting by wishing peace and forgiveness to the soul of Bangabandhu and his family members.
