CCCI president meets BB governor

Mahbubul Alam, President of The Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir in Dhaka on Tuesday evening.  FBCCI President Md. Jasim Uddin, Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Abu Farah Md. Naser were present at the time.

  President of the Chamber Mahbubul Alam said that he discussed in detail the various policies adopted by the Bangladesh Bank and expressed the views of the business community.  Despite the extremely negative state of economic growth in the world, the economy of Bangladesh is in a relatively good condition.  He lauded the role of Bangladesh Bank in the economic development of the country and thanked the businessmen for the various incentive packages provided by the government during the Corona crisis and hoped that the monetary policy announced by Bangladesh Bank would help the economy recover and achieve the desired growth.

 Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir said the private sector has a huge role to play in the development of the country.  Bangladesh Bank is taking timely steps to expand trade and investment and increase exports.  It is possible to build a prosperous Bangladesh of the future on the basis of public-private cooperation. 

 He expressed his determination to continue the efforts of Bangladesh Bank in this regard.
