Chattogram City Corporation Acting Mayor Md. Gias Uddin said that in order to support Chattogram City Corporation financially, CCC will bring income generating projects in abandoned vacant lands and bring them under development.
He made the remarks while inspecting the boundary wall of Madarbari Port City Housing Project in the city on Wednesday.
He said that although CCC is a service provider, it has to bear huge expenditure in the field of education and health as compared to other city corporations in the country. Initiatives will be taken to become financially supportive by accepting income generating projects through the approval of the Ministry.
He directed the concerned parties to expedite the work of Madarbari Housing Project which has not been completed yet.
Ward Councilors Golam Mohammad Jober, Hasan Murad Bilpab and Abdus Salam Masum were present on the occasion.
