CCC vehicle repair contract with BRTC

It’ll save several cores of Taka

The Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) hopes to save several crores of taka every year by repairing vehicles through the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC).

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two institutions on this occasion at the CCC office near Tiger Pass on Tuesday afternoon.  

CCC Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Muhammad Tauhidul Islam, Chief Engineer Rafiqul Islam, Supervising Engineer Md. Akbar Ali, Executive Engineer Mirza FazlulQuader and BRTC Director (Finance & Accounts) Dr. AnupamSaha, General Manager Major Md. Jahangir Hossain Azad, Manager Md. Mofiz Uddin, and Md. Zulfikar Ali signed the agreement.

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor valiant freedom fighter Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury made the speech of the chief guest in the event organized on the occasion.

He said that CCC as the first city corporation of Bangladesh has signed an agreement with BRTC for car repair.  Through BRTC, CCC's vehicles will get the best quality service which will make CCC waste management more dynamic, saving huge revenue. BRTC will repair our waste management and official vehicles under the contract.  Initially 157 waste vehicles will be repaired under the contract, gradually all 601 vehicles of CCC will be repaired by BRTC.  

As a result, many of our idle vehicles will be operational resulting in increased vehicle life, fewer vehicles to be hired from outside.  Besides, transparency in car repair costs will be ensured as government institutions work.  

As a result of this agreement, CCC will save crores of taka every year.
