‘CCC to set up 23 temporary cattle markets in Ctg city’

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) wants to set up 23 more temporary animal haats along with three permanent animal haats during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.  Chattogram City Corporation's revenue branch has sent a letter to the Chattogram District Administration seeking permission to set up these haats.  CCC will complete the leasing process of animal market after getting the permission.

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has three permanent animal markets.  These are - Sagarika Animal Market, Bibirhat Animal Market and Posterpar Goat Market.

Chattogram City Corporation's revenue branch sources said, permission for 23 temporary animal markets in the city has been sought from the Chattogram district administration.

The proposed temporary cattle huts include – Karnaphuli Cattle Market (Noor Nagar Housing Estate) in East Sholashar ward of the city, Haats adjacent to Saltgola Rail Crossing in South Central Halishahar ward, TK Group Vacant Field south of Butterfly Park in South Patenga Ward, Vacant Field adjacent to Khejurtala Barrage in North Patenga ward, Steel Mill Bazar, TSP ground beside to Purba Hussain Ahmad Para Silo Road, North Patenga City Corporation High Girls School Ground, Muslimabad TK Group Vacant Ground, Muslimabad Road CIP Jasim Vacant Ground, South Baklia ward beside to Char Chaktai CCC High School Vacant Ground,  North Halishahar Ward Golchipa Para Baruni Ghat, Abandoned godown ground near Barapole, Panchlaish ward Wazediya Mor, Koylar Ghar Creative School, Ground adjacent to Baksu Nagar Mosque, Middle Shaheed Nagar Govt Primary School Ground, West Shaheed Nagar Beside Kalu Company House, Kamrabad Samadpur Mor and ground adjacent to Haji Para Barek Shah Mazar, Abandoned Railway Ground adjacent to Jan Ali Station in Mohra ward, CDA Sand Field on Outer Ring Road in South Halishahar ward, Vacant Field next to Bakolia Access Road in West Bakolia ward, Chowdhury haat in South Pahartali ward.

Chattogram city three temporary animal markets will be set up under the management of CCS during Eid-ul-Azha in 2022, three in 2021 and four in 2020.  CCC wants to set up a number of haats this year.

  CCC chief revenue officer Mohammad Nazrul Islam said, we have decided to build 23 temporary markets in the city.  The list has been sent to the district administration for approval.  The decision will be taken in consultation with the district administration and Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP).  After getting the permission, I will start the process of appointing the tenant.
