CCC Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin said that CCC has planned 374 backyard meetings under the 'Improving the Living Standards of Marginalized People' project to raise corona awareness across Chattogram city through the CDC.

He said this at the second round of soap distribution in the ward area under the UNDP and UKAID Life Improvement Project for marginalized people in the conference room of Nagar Bhaban on Monday.

Instructing CDC leaders to hold yard meetings in their respective wards to raise awareness among the city dwellers, the mayor said the importance of soap is immense in the light of the current situation. Just as it is important for everyone to know the rules of hygiene, it is also vital to follow them.

He said leaflets, posters, stickers, cable networking and miking activities are being conducted to make the poor people aware of the Covid-19 infection under the Life Improvement Project for Marginalized People.

In addition, a total of 21,000 soaps have been distributed in each of the 374 hand washing points in the city.

CCC CEO Md. Samsuddoha, Councilor Md. Azam, Mayor Private Secretary Abul Hashem, Project Town Manager Md. Sarwar Hossain Khan, Output Chief Engineer Md. Saifur Rahman Chowdhury and Town Federation Chairman Kohinoor Akter were present on the occasion.
