A mobile court of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) recovered 7 acres of land after conducting raid at the Port City Housing in the city’s Madarbari area on Sunday.
CCC’s executive magistrate Marufa Begum Nely and special magistrate (joint district and sessions judge) Jahanara Ferdous jointly led the drive.
CCC officials, local Sadarghat Thana Police, Chittagong Metropolitan Police and members of 30 Ansar Battalion assisted the mobile court.
After evicting hundreds of illegal shops and establishments in the operation, the area was handed over to the CCC’s real estate office.
