The Chattogram district administration has given compensation to the people affected by the canal digging project being implemented by the Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) to alleviate waterlogging.
Chattogram Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman handed over a check of Tk 17 crore to 43 victims on Saturday.
The DC said that if any land owner is affected while implementing the project, he should apply directly to the LA branch with the necessary documents. Check it and get compensation as soon as possible. Withdraw your compensation by applying directly to the LA branch without going through any broker or middleman. There is no middleman in the district administration.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (LA) Md. Abu Raihan Dolan, Land Acquisition Officer Ehsan Murad were present at the check distribution ceremony.
Incidentally, the land was acquired for the implementation of the construction of the connection canal from Bahaddarhat Baripara to the Karnaphuli river and the road network development of various wards of the Chittagong City Corporation and the construction of the bus terminal.
