Newly appointed administrator of Chittagong City Corporation Khorshed Alam Sujan visited Dhanmondi Bangabandhu Bhaban on Saturday morning. He paid homage to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Sujan stood for 1 minute and prayed for the souls of Bangabandhu and his family members and the martyrs of the August 15 tragedy.
He said, "I will do my best to repay the trust placed in me by the Prime Minister and President Sheikh Hasina by appointing me as the administrator of the second largest and most important port city of Bangladesh." Public service is a complementary vow to support politics. Transparency, honesty and dedication will be my driving force in fulfilling this vow and
I will expand the scope of service activities on priority basis to make Chittagong a livable city.
"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's guidelines are my source of strength and inspiration," he said. I will strive for better by taking all the good deeds of my predecessor mayors as an example.
