Case filed against two human traffickers in Shariatpur

A case has been filed against two human traffickers on the allegation of killing three Bangladeshis by putting  them in the back luggage space ( bumper) of a  car in Greece with Jajeera Police station under Shariatpur district on June-25. 

Fahima Akhter, mother of Asif Hossain who died in Greece, has filed the case in this connection. Two more victims of the case belonged to Dagonbhuiyan Upazila of Feni district. 

The main accused of the case has been mentioned as Saidur Rahman Bepari (45) son of Abdur Rashid Bepari of village Ballabdi under Madaripur sadar upazila and the another accused in Kobbaj Madbar (35)s on of late Dhonab Madbar of the same village. Police arrested Saidur Rahman from his own house but Kobbaj Madbar is staying in Greece. 

According to the case statement, Fahima Akhter claimed, human traffickers Saidur  and Kobbaj assured her and her husband Tofazzal Hakider to send their son Limon to Greece through legal process and took Taka 12 lakh in two phases from them as the cost of sending their son to Greece. But, they came to learn that their son Limon died in Greece. 

Police informed, the traffickers demanded ransom from the family members of the deceased by illegally holding them and killing them through torture.  

The case statement further detailed that the dead Bangladeshis were trying to enter into Greece from Turkey by sitting inside the back luggage space of a microbus in cooperation with Saidur Rahman. 

Tofazzal Hossain Hakider, father of Limon demanded exemplary punishment of those who killed his son and others.
