Jahid Ali Ansary, Managing Director of Carew and Company Sugar Mills, has beentransferred to Sugarcane Development and Research Department at Dhaka through an office order signed by Md.Rafiqul Islam, Chief of Personal Officer of Sugarcane and Food Industries Corporation of Dhaka on March24.
It may be mentioned here that after spreading coronavirus in Bangladesh the government has taken all steps to prevent it but there was shortage of hand sanitizer. At the moment Jahid Ali Ansary, MD of the sugar mills, arranged a meeting with chemists and other officers to product sanitizer from distillery of the mills for prevention coronavirus. At one stage they made a decision to product and to market hand sanitizer, and settled to sell 100 milligram of a bottle at tk. 50 in wholesale rate. Retail price is fixed at tk. 60 the same. Accordingly the production of the hand sanitizer started to production and marketed on March 23. This hand sanitizer is being used not only in the district of Chuadanga but also other district in our country.
When Carews Sugar Mills name and fame circulated for its production and using the MD was transferred, locals said. Jahid Al Ansary, MD of the Sugar Mills said Abdul Halim, secretary of Industry Ministry orally ordered to serve in Carew and Company Sugar Mills.
