Call for working together to combat Covid-19

In collaboration with the local government department, DFID and UNDP under the KCC's Marginalized Community Development Project safety and protection gear were handed over to Khulna City Corporation Mayor Talukder Abdul Khalek on Monday morning at the Nagar Bhaban conference room to prevent coronavirus (Covid-19).

Self-protection equipment included: 38 digital thermometers, 38 infrared thermometers, 35 kg disinfectant, 70 hand dry rolls, 576 surgical masks, three hundred and eighty-two N-95 masks, 64 hand sanitizers (100 ml) and 64 hand sanitizers (200 ml).

While receiving the self-protection equipment, the city mayor said, “The government is working to improve the quality of healthcare. Everyone should take care so that no one can cheat with the treatment in Khulna. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has done everything to prevent Covid-19.”

He said that the government as well as everyone should work together to prevent coronavirus. Everyone's safety is in their own hands in this crisis. The government is working to improve the living standards of the people of the country.

Abir-ul-Jabbar, Chief Planning Officer of KCC and Member Secretary of the project, Dr Md Abdullah, Chief Health Officer, Md Mostafa Mia, Town Manager of Marginalized Living Development Project were present on the occasion.
