Call for turning DScE a specialised public economic university

Experts  pleaded to the Government to turn Dhaka School of Economics as a specialised Public Economic University in the country to safeguard our monetary, fiscal and external economy and to develop more human resources through capacity build up with modern inductive learning technique.Speakers  advised for nomination from  Government institutes and NGOs to the Post graduate diploma in enterprise development and Masters of Economics(Entrepreneurship Economics) programmes which degree is awarding by University of Dhaka.Currently Dhaka School of Economics,is  a  constituent institution of Dhaka University, welcome the freshers of undergraduate students and gave farewell to the masters students . 

On Saturday, the students of the third batch of bachelors were welcomed and the farewell receptions were given to the students of the fourth batch of masters by the entrepreneurial economists club of the School. The event was organized at the office of ERF, the top organization of economic journalists of the country. Mr. Pranab Saha, editor of DBC News was present as the chief guest. Economist and IT expert Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahbub Ali was the session chair of the event. Shaheda Parveen Trisha, Vice Chairperson of Prime Bank Investment Limited was the special guest. In the speech of the chief guest, Pranab Saha, editor of DBC News said, there is no alternative to create entrepreneurs for the development of the country.

 Praising the entrepreneurial economics program of Dhaka School of Economics, he said, if Masters and PGD courses are introduced for professionals through online in the current scenario like other Global universities , it will be more helpful in creating entrepreneurs.

In the session chair speech, economist Professor Dr Muhammad Mahbub Ali said that there is no alternative to creating entrepreneurs to face the current global challenges. He added, the entrepreneurial economics program of Dhaka School of Economics is working tirelessly to create entrepreneurs in the economic progress of the country. Meanwhile, he expressed hope that the Ministry of ICT will play a supporting role in setting up an  Economic incubator for entrepreneurs with digitalization process more effective and self-employment learning  at the Dhaka School of Economics.

Besides, in the speech of the special guest, Prime Bank Investment Limited Vice Chairperson Shaheda Parveen Trisha said, to be an entrepreneur, concentration and dedication are required along with hard work. During this, he gave a motivational speech to the students.

Dhaka School of Economics, Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurial Economics Program Rehana Parveen and Assistant Professor Dr. Sara Tasnim and Lecturer Shamim Ahmed were also present in the Ceremony.The programme was followed by a cultural programme.
