Mustafizur Rahman Chowdhury, MP from Chattogram-16 constituency (Banshkhali), has said, "I will build 100 houses on my own initiative and ensure that all the homeless families in the area get a house."
He also said he would prepare list of the homeless in each union and ensure their housing in phases. He called upon others to stand beside the homeless families by building houses for them.
He said these at a function held at Banshkhali Upazila Officers’ Club in Chattogram district on Saturday. The function was arranged to hand over houses to 25 families as Prime Minister’s gift On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Mustafizur Rahman Chowdhury, MP, and other joined video conferring of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from the function. Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chattogram Mohammad Mominur Rahman, Banshkhali Upazila Parishad Chairman Chowdhury Mohammad Ghalib Sadli, Banshkhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Momena Akter, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Atiqur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the police station Mohammad Safiul Kabir, journalist of the area Abdul Motaleb Kalu, Chairman of Sadhanpur Union Mohiuddin Chowdhury Khoka, Chairman of Saral Union Parishad Rashid Ahmed Chowdhury and Chairman of Kalipur Union A.N.M. Shahadat Alam were present on the occasion, among others.
